באפריל 2020 פתחנו את קהילת תלמידי המחקר ופוסט-דוקטורנטים של אספנט-ישראל- "אספנט-ג'וניור" במטרה ליצור קבוצת חוקרים צעירים בתחום המדיניות החברתית שתפתח את התחום בישראל ובעולם. המטרה היא לחזק את היכולות המחקריות של חברי.ות הקבוצה בתחום, לייצר חיבורים לשם כתיבה ומחקר משותפים, לחזק קשרים בלתי פורמליים עם חברי סגל בתחום בארץ ובחו"ל, להוות במה לעדכון על פרסומים בתחום, להעביר מידע על מלגות ואפשרויות נוספות בתחום המדיניות החברתית, לסייע ולתמוך זה בזו.
קהילת אספנט ג'וניור היא קהילת עמיתים עבור תלמידי מחקר העוסקים במדיניות חברתית, ממגוון מוסדות אקדמיים וממגוון דיסציפלינות. פעילות הקהילה כוללת רשימת תפוצה ייעודית במייל ובווטסאפ; לצד מגוון אירועים ומפגשים פרונטליים ובזום, שנועדו להעשרה ופיתוח של תלמידי המחקר בתחום.
מאז ערכנו מספר פעילויות, דוגמת מפגשים עם עורכים, הרצאות אורח, ו'קפה עם מומחה', יצרנו רשימות תפוצה במיילים ובוואטסאפ, מפגשים בלתי פורמליים עם חברי סגל בתחום ועוד.
